Crown Pro Trio Brush Set Review

Long time no chat but I am back with a review these cute Crown Pro trio brush set. I received these beauties in the February Boxycharm box. The Crown Pro trio brush includes a small brush for concealer, a medium brush for cheekbones, and a large brush for powder.

Crown Pro Trio Brush Set Hits

Where Crown Pro trio brush set hit it out of the park is in its design and function. If you are looking for something cute and purposeful that you can use every day or take on a trip, then these babies are it.

I love the clean white design with pink ombre tips. They give this really clean finish and look really cute on your vanity. They provide the right amount of color without being overbearing.

CROWN PRO TRIO BRUSH SET

The small brush is the perfect size to get the right enough amount of concealer under your eyes on those not so great days. It’s also great for adding the base color to your eyes. The medium brush works for contouring perfectly. The large brush works for adding setting powder.

I think they are cute. I just wish they will stay clean and perfect forever. (which I doubt) The tips do get a little dirty after contouring and concealer. However, that’s nothing brush cleaner can’t fix.

Overall I think these brushes can complete any brush collection.

Hi lovelies, I have wanted to write a style post about some black jean outfits. However, I have not had the time, but I promised I would post more for this new year. I think black jeans have been my staple piece because it’s easy to style. Also, you can dress it up or down.

Business Casual Black Jean Outfits

We all have those days when we struggle trying to find something for a brunch or just a casual put together look. I have been really into pairing my black jeans with a white or any color flowy blouse. I got this shirt a while back, and it just has gotten me through so much.

Casual Black Jean Outfits

Who doesn’t love a comfy casual look that makes you look like a street style goddess? My favorite thing to pair my black jeans with are t-shirts especially my favorite band t-shirts. I do tend to wear bagger t-shirts to give it that lose feel. The Catfish and The Bottlemen t-shirt is a small and fits loose; while the piped piper t-shirt is a medium because I bought it online and I did not know how it ran. I would have gotten a small, but a medium still fits fine.

Night Out Black Jean Outfits

If it’s a night out with the girls or just a special occasion, then pair up the black jeans with a little top. I love to dress up jeans with lace tops. I think it’s my obsession with lace. I thrifted this crop top, and it has this cute zipper on the back. I like to keep it simple and elegant.

Mattemoiselle Plush Matte lipstick Review

The world has been blessed with another Fenty Beauty product and this time it’s no other than Mattemoiselle Plush Matte lipstick by Rihanna. These lipsticks are said to long-wearing, soft matte finished, and intense color shade that WILL FLATTER ALL SKIN TONES. Finding a shade of lipstick that looks good on you can be tough because it might look good on the tube but not turn out the way you wanted it.

My Mattemoiselle Plush Matte lipstick purchase.

Mattemoiselle-Plush-Matte-Lipstick

Before I start, I will like to state that I am not a big lipstick person but I decided to give it a try because the other Fenty products stole my heart. I purchased the color PMS. The color PMS is a bold darker brownish/purplish lip color. I went big and bold. Mattemoiselle Plush Matte lipstick do come in 14 shades that match the rainbow from reds to purples, so there is a shade for anyone.

Mattemoiselle Plush Matte lipstick hits and misses.

Hits

  1. Lightweight.
  2. Looks great on any skin tone.
  3. Longwear.
  4. Vibrant colors.
  5. Amazing price tag.

Misses.

  1. none.

My thoughts on Mattemoiselle Plush Matte lipstick.

What can I say Rihanna has done it again! This lipstick made me fall in love.
What I loved about the product was that it is lightweight, not just the packaging but the product itself. The formula did not make your lips feel sticky with the product. Not to mention you get full coverage with only one application.
I took the all-day wear from 9 to 5 pm to see if it would last and it did plus the afternoon. The color stayed vibrant and bold. My favorite thing about this lipstick is that fact that it was made for any woman’s skin tone. I can understand the struggle to find a tone that matches my skin tone. Let’s not forget to the fantastic, reasonable price tag.
Let me know if you guys decided to try Mattemoiselle Plush Matte Lipstick and let me know your thoughts.

My goals for 2018.

It’s been a while since I updated you all but my blog has been going through an identity crisis. I decided that I’m going to make what I want to so it’s simply going to stay as it … a music and “lifestyle” blog. (I hate categories.) I thought it would be nice to post some goals I have for 2018 to keep me motived.

  1. Stay healthy.
  2. Get into graduate school.
  3. Grow my blog.
  4. Wake earlier.
  5. Be a little more outspoken.
  6. Go to a music festival.
  7. Not drink so much pop/soda. (whatever you want to call it.)
  8. See BTS if they ever come close to where I live.
  9. Donate.
  10. Cook for myself.
  11. Not eat so much meat.
  12. Walk more.
  13. Maybe get a job in what I studied. I bet my parents would love that.
  14. Continue to love myself.

I hope you guys help me stay true to them.

My Sundara Karma’s spotlight blog post is far overdue. I’m sorry but my love for them is still very real.

Who is Sundara Karma?

Sundara Karma is an indie/rock band from Readings, England. The band consists of Oscar Lulu (vocals, guitar), Haydn Evans (drums), Ally Baty (guitar) and Dom Cordel (bass). They have been topping charts with their recent album Youth is Only Ever Fun in Retrospect with it topping the top 50 UK album charts.

Sundara Karma’s Sound.

Sundara Karma has this very underappreciated style that you cannot find on the radio nowadays in my opinion. They have this very poetic and soft grunge rock sound. I don’t want to compare them to any band because honestly, they are themselves. That is what I love about them.

Sundara Karma’s lyrics.

Sundara’s lyrics are very poetic and revolve around the everyday troubles of youth especially when you look their album Youth is Only Ever Fun in Retrospect. They sing about finding the hope of living to the misunderstood communication between lovers:

“But ain’t it funny that we’re never
Certain of the way we are
Another youth wasted and eternally tainted.”

Plus you if you are literature fanatic you can see the references they incorporate into their lyrics.

Overall.

I believe this Sundara Karma is going to make even bigger than where they are today. They have a sound where you can identify them and say “hey that Sundara Karma”. Plus their style is overall is themselves from eyeshadow and blouses. Not only because of their talent but also their humbleness.

I saw them live back in April and they are the kindest band I have met. There were around 30 people and the crowd, but they played with such a passion. Not only that they said after and made sure they met everyone. Honestly, they pretty humble and their music and personality are going to take them even bigger.
