Is it me or does music sound better in fall? Maybe it’s just me. Here my September/October playlist which includes acoustic sounds with chilled vibes.
Eastwick – Julia Jacklin
If you are looking for an artist that screams autumn vibes then Julia is your girl. Julia’s song “Eastwick.” has it all the acoustic guitar, the dreamy vocals, and the killer guitar solos that take the song in a perfect 180. Julia, you have yourself a new fan.
Make Me Your Queen – Declan McKenna
Not only is “Make Me Your Queen” a catchy tune but if you pay attention to the lyrics, it tackles an important issue. This song talks about an abusive relationship where someone has to be in control and overpower the other. Take a closer look at the lyrics and see for yourself. I am glad someone is talking about emotional abuse that is often not talked about in society.
Colder Parts – HUNNY
Do you want to feel like you are at a festival with the fresh smell of beer and dirt in the air? “Colder Parts” will transport you with their retro guitar chords and dance bops that perfectly compliment the lead singers vocals.
Slippery – Human Heat
I was shocked to find out that Human Heat was not as recognized as he deserves. His whimsical voice is almost a delicate as a fallen autumn leaf. There is something about his pure sound and lyrics that make it sound refreshing.
Too Much to Ask – Niall Horan
First off who broke Niall’s heart and why are my eyes getting teary? This song is asking the simple question if they regret parting ways in the most musical way possible. One of my favorite things about Niall is that his songs are so relatable and sincere. Keep an eye out I will do a review of his album soon.
Read My Mind -Catfish and the Bottlemen
It wouldn’t be a playlist if I did not include Catfish and the Bottlemen and my favorite song ever. This song is a cover for the original “Read my mind” by the Killers with a slight twist only Van could accomplish. Van’s beautiful raspy vocals just complement the whole feeling of the song. Only he could make fall in love with it even more.
Also in the September/October playlist include Hippo Campus, the Killers, and BTS. I have recently done a review on their albums which included the songs in this playlist so check them out if you are interested.
The central star of the October Boxycharm box was the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid Highlighter. The Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid Highlighter is supposed to leave your skin with glowing and illuminated. This product retails for $41, but I received it in the October Boxycharm Box so with all the other products it was only $21.
Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid Highlighter in color Prosecco Pop.
I have always used a pressed powder highlighter, so this was a learning experience for me. You either apply it as a makeup base or after foundation to the areas you want to highlight. Another tip is if you are looking for a more dewy face look just mix a pump with your foundation.
It leaves your skin with a NATURAL GLOW.
It lasts all day!
The dispenser pumps too much product then what is needed.
My final thoughts about Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid Highlighter in color Prosecco Pop.
Overall I loved Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid Highlighter very natural glow it leaves. The pigmentation on this highlighter is worth every penny. I always look for very natural glowing highlighters that look like we were sunkissed by the sun not showered in glitter. (nothing wrong with that though)
The problem I have is that my skin is a combination of oily and dry so finding something to suit both is tough. This highlighter works wonders! I wore this highlighter a full day through an 8-hour shift. I made it through the day without at the end of the day without it looking like a big sweaty mess. (It has happened with other highlighters.)
The only thing I would change is the dispenser. It pumps way too much for what you need. It leaves you wasting a lot of product. This product is very pigmented, so there is no need for much.
After receiving this product from BoxyCharm, I think I would consider trying the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Liquid Highlighter, but in color, Champagne pop! P.S. this would be the great gift for any occasion!
Many of you already know my appreciation for K-pop music genre I thought I would do a spotlight post for the K-Pop band SEVENTEEN.
Who is SEVENTEEN?
SEVENTEEN is a South Korean boy band made up of three subgroups: hip-hop, vocal, and performance. There is a total of, ready for it, 13 members of this group. Before you panic let me tell you they all complement each other and look so synchronized.
Not only do these boys just sing and dance but they also help produce and write the songs. What can’t they do?!
SEVENTEEN’s music style started out very colorfully and cheer music style, but then we started to hear them morph into a more mature sound but still keeping their style. Their whole journey is one to enjoy from their early eps to their most recent single like “Don’t wanna cry” and “Trauma.” They have a very diverse sound and that is what I think makes them so unique from other K-pop groups.
(I created a playlist with some of my recent SEVENTEEN favorite songs you can follow.)
One of my favorite thing about this group is that let every single of them shine on their own. Each subgroup has their songs that sing with their subgroups. When they come together, they create masterpieces.
SEVENTEEN’s music videos and chorographs.
Their music videos have also evolved as their music has. One thing is sure they still keep this very vibrant cinematography. One of my favorites music has to be “Don’t Wanna Cry.” The location and the shots are fantastic and the way whole music video captures the song perfectly. On top of that, they know how to incorporate killer chorographs that only they could pull off their numbers.
If you have not yet dipped in and heard SEVENTEEN they give them a try you won’t be disappointed. Not to mention their comeback is full approaching. Check out their most recent music videos from their up comeback to get you even more pumped.

My overall review for October’s Boxycharm box!
October’s Boxycharm box receives a five out of five! I was so excited when I head that this month we were receiving a full-size Becca Highlighter. I am in love with all the products, and I can see myself incorporating each into my overall makeup routine. You can smoothly go from day to night with the products. They are versatile. I can’t wait to see what next month brings.
This week I decided to write about an October Haul of a couple of times I purchased. It’s a small haul that includes cozy and ear worthy things.
I promise you I shop in more places, but these are just the more recent purchases. I will keep collecting more things through the month so that I might do another one at the end of the month.
Nothing says fall like little lights to add a whimsical feeling to your room. I felt this was just a great way to warm my space. As of right now, I have not found a place for them in my room. I have them on my mirror in front of my bed and on my top of my curtains. I am still working on it, but I like them on my mirror.
I wanted something to tie my bed altogether, so at least something in my life looks put together in my life. What made fall in love with this throw is the feel from both sides which not a lot of faux fur throws have.
Would you believe me if I told you I bought all four colors this cardigan comes in because I could not decide on which color? It is soft and fits comfortably. I got the blush pink, gray, olive green, and black.
I had preordered this last month, but I did not get it until early October. The wait was worth it! From a graphic designer standpoint the packaging of this album is simplistic but high quality. It comes with the CD, a photo book, stickers, little photo, notes (it’s Korean so someone should tell me what they say), and poster.
So I had not told you guys, but I decided to start creating videos also on top of the blog posts. I decided to start a quick small one displaying what my recent purchases were. If everything works out I might be doing more on either makeup reviews, hauls and more especially music. I would love for it to be about music! So please help me start out and subscribe and leave a lovely comment. Thank you for your support in everything.
