My goals for 2018.

It’s been a while since I updated you all but my blog has been going through an identity crisis. I decided that I’m going to make what I want to so it’s simply going to stay as it … a music and “lifestyle” blog. (I hate categories.) I thought it would be nice to post some goals I have for 2018 to keep me motived.

  1. Stay healthy.
  2. Get into graduate school.
  3. Grow my blog.
  4. Wake earlier.
  5. Be a little more outspoken.
  6. Go to a music festival.
  7. Not drink so much pop/soda. (whatever you want to call it.)
  8. See BTS if they ever come close to where I live.
  9. Donate.
  10. Cook for myself.
  11. Not eat so much meat.
  12. Walk more.
  13. Maybe get a job in what I studied. I bet my parents would love that.
  14. Continue to love myself.

I hope you guys help me stay true to them.

My Sundara Karma’s spotlight blog post is far overdue. I’m sorry but my love for them is still very real.

Who is Sundara Karma?

Sundara Karma is an indie/rock band from Readings, England. The band consists of Oscar Lulu (vocals, guitar), Haydn Evans (drums), Ally Baty (guitar) and Dom Cordel (bass). They have been topping charts with their recent album Youth is Only Ever Fun in Retrospect with it topping the top 50 UK album charts.

Sundara Karma’s Sound.

Sundara Karma has this very underappreciated style that you cannot find on the radio nowadays in my opinion. They have this very poetic and soft grunge rock sound. I don’t want to compare them to any band because honestly, they are themselves. That is what I love about them.

Sundara Karma’s lyrics.

Sundara’s lyrics are very poetic and revolve around the everyday troubles of youth especially when you look their album Youth is Only Ever Fun in Retrospect. They sing about finding the hope of living to the misunderstood communication between lovers:

“But ain’t it funny that we’re never
Certain of the way we are
Another youth wasted and eternally tainted.”

Plus you if you are literature fanatic you can see the references they incorporate into their lyrics.

I believe this Sundara Karma is going to make even bigger than where they are today. They have a sound where you can identify them and say “hey that Sundara Karma”. Plus their style is overall is themselves from eyeshadow and blouses. Not only because of their talent but also their humbleness.

I saw them live back in April and they are the kindest band I have met. There were around 30 people and the crowd, but they played with such a passion. Not only that they said after and made sure they met everyone. Honestly, they pretty humble and their music and personality are going to take them even bigger.

Fenty Beauty: Pro Filt’R Soft Matte Longwear Foundation | Review

The long wait is finally over I caved in a bought Fenty Beauty Foundation. I purchased Fenty Beauty: Pro Filt’R Soft Matte Longwear Foundation in color 230.

Fenty Beauty: Pro Filt’R Soft Matte Longwear Foundation

My Fenty journey started with I bought Fenty Highlighter, and I instantly fell in love. I decided to wait to purchase the foundation because honestly, I am not a foundation kind of girl. I caved, and I had to see what the all the rave was.

  1. It’s very silky and velvety just like the bottle says.
  2. No caking!
  3. All day last.

  1. It oxides.

My overall thoughts on Fenty Beauty: Pro Filt’R Soft Matte Longwear Foundation.

Fenty is another gift that Rihanna has blessed with us. You know it’s good because I am not a foundation type of gal and this has changed my whole perspective. I now make sure I have Fenty on before I leave my house.

When you apply the foundation, you can feel the softness of your skin. It goes on smoothly. The foundation is not so thick, so if you are looking for fuller coverage, you might have apply 2 or 3 coats.

However, even if you apply two or three coats it never gets cakey. It leaves your skin looking poreless and fresh. Plus it looks great all day even through a nine to five shift.

My only downfall was that it oxides. Meaning that it dries darker than what it previously. I initially had gotten a sample for 290, but I had to go back and try a lighter sample which leads me to 230. My recommendation is to make sure it dries a good five to ten minutes.

Besides that this has to be my new favorite product of 2017.
